How to connect AI agents to Multilogin cloud phones

The Multilogin cloud phone agent is an open-source project that helps you connect a compatible AI agent to a Multilogin Android cloud phone through ADB.

Instead of building the whole flow yourself, the toolkit handles the boring but important parts: it starts the phone, waits until Android is ready, connects the agent, saves the available logs and results, and stops the phone when the task is done.

➡️ To start, open the GitHub repository → follow the setup steps in the README → add your Multilogin details and cloud phone ID → run a simple test task.

The AI agent can stay focused on what happens on screen, while you avoid setup steps and wasted mobile minutes from phones left running.

How does it work?

The project splits the workflow into three simple steps.

Step 1: it gets the cloud phone ready

The toolkit starts your selected cloud phone, waits until Android is ready, turns on ADB, and connects the AI agent.

⚡ You can start the task and move on – no waiting around or checking the connection yourself.

Step 2: the AI agent handles the task

Once connected, the agent can look at the screen, find interface elements, and decide what to do next.

Depending on your setup, it can tap, type, run commands, and check whether each action worked.

🤖 No need to repeat every tap yourself – invest more time into content, strategy, and growth.

Step 3: it stops the cloud phone

When the task finishes, the toolkit is designed to stop the phone and save the available logs and results.

A cloud phone left running keeps using mobile minutes.

💸 You avoid wasted minutes and have logs ready if something goes wrong.

What could this look like day to day?

Say you manage a social profile and repeat the same routine every day: publish content, check that it went live, then work through engagement tasks.

With a tested agent workflow, it could look like this:

  1. The toolkit starts the cloud phone and connects through ADB
  2. The AI agent opens the social app and publishes an approved post
  3. It checks the profile or feed to confirm the post went live
  4. It opens a prepared list of engagement tasks and completes the actions you configured
  5. The toolkit saves the available logs and stops the cloud phone

That means less time babysitting routine tasks, fewer forgotten sessions, and more time for content, strategy, and growth.

The exact actions depend on the app, your agent, and how you configure and test the workflow.

Who is it for?

You don’t need to be a developer to try the cloud phone agent.

It’s a good fit for anyone who wants to turn repetitive mobile work into an AI-powered workflow:

  • 📱 Social media marketers who want to spend less time repeating the same app actions
  • 🏢 Agencies building repeatable workflows for their teams and client profiles
  • 🎨 Creators, affiliate marketers, and media buyers exploring new ways to automate everyday work
  • 🤖 AI workflow builders who want more control over what happens inside a cloud phone
  • 🛠️ Developers and automation engineers who want to customize the project further

Some setup steps use ADB, a terminal, and configuration files, but you don’t need to know how to build the integration from scratch. An AI coding agent can help you download the project, install what it needs, update the files, and work through every step.

Can I use it with different AI agents?

Yes. You’re not tied to one AI provider or tool.

You can use any compatible AI agent that can:

  • Run terminal commands
  • Read screenshots
  • Choose what to do next
  • Check that the action worked

This gives you the freedom to choose the AI tool that works best for you – and switch later without rebuilding the whole setup.

Check the GitHub repository for the latest supported adapters, examples, and setup notes.

FAQs

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You don’t need to build an API integration or write the project from scratch.

There is some initial setup in GitHub, but an AI coding agent like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, or OpenClaw can help you download the project, install what it needs, update the files, and explain any errors along the way.

Do I need a paid AI subscription?

It depends on which agent you choose:

  • Claude Code: you need a Claude Pro or Max subscription, or separate pay-as-you-go API billing
  • OpenAI Codex: Codex is included with ChatGPT plans, but usage limits depend on your plan
  • Cursor: the free Hobby plan includes limited agent requests; paid plans give you more usage
  • OpenClaw: OpenClaw itself is open source, but you still need to connect an AI model through a supported subscription or API key

Plans and limits can change, so check the AI provider’s pricing page before you start.

What kind of tasks can the agent handle?

It depends on the app and the instructions you give it.

For example, you could ask it to review relevant content, prepare a post, publish it after your approval, check that it went live, and complete a prepared engagement routine.

The clearer your instructions, the better the result.

Will it use my mobile minutes?

Yes. Your cloud phone uses mobile minutes while it is running.

The toolkit is designed to stop the phone when the task ends, and you can add a time limit as an extra safety measure. Still, keep an eye on your minutes while testing a new workflow.

Will it work with every Android app?

Not always. Apps have different layouts, rules, and behavior. An app update can also change where buttons and fields appear.

Start with one simple task, test it carefully, and add more steps once it works reliably.
